Chicken à la Lays

Breaded chicken is always a go-to when you want to cook with kids or when you just want plain tasty comfort food. So as a way to change it up a bit, I decided to try something different. Instead of breading the chicken with regular bread crumbs or flour, I decided to bread them with BBQ Lays… and honestly it couldn’t have been any better. Because this recipe has been such a success, I decided to share it with you.

Ingredients

chicken breast, Lays BBQ, salt, pepper, garlic powder

Directions

First, pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Then season the chicken just the way you always do, (I always season it with salt, pepper and garlic powder) but with a little less salt, because Lays are salty. If you prefer Lays Classic, you can use those instead, but I prefer BBQ because it gives them a little twist. Dip the chicken in beaten eggs and cover it with flour, then dip it again in the eggs. After the Lays BBQ are properly crushed in very small pieces, cover the chicken in the crumbs the same way you would if they were bread crumbs. After you’ve done this with all of the chicken, put them in the oven (already pre-heated) for 30 minutes. Never microwave them because the Lays will become too soggy and the chicken will not taste as good.
